CHARLOTTE AFRICAN AMERICAN BOOK FESTIVAL

Join us on June 8, 2024, in the historic Second Ward Gymnasium/Brooklyn Village located in beautiful downtown Charlotte as we celebrate African Americans contributions to literature, books, literacy, and the literary culture.
For it's second year, the gymnasium will be transformed into a literary extravaganza hosting authors (locally and regionally), publishers and bookstores. The festival will host over 60 vendors, including workshops, speakers, featured authors, food and drinks, kids area, and music and entertainment. The festival is FREE to the public.

Free Admission
1. Come out and enjoy a day of browsing books.
2. An opportunity to meet outstanding authors who write in multiple genres.
3. Authors locally and regionally will gather at Second Ward Gymnasium from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm to sell book and talk about their works.
4. Festival includes speakers, workshops, freebies and giveaways, kids' area, food and drinks, live music and entertainment.
5. Be sure to bring the whole family to experience our kids' area designed with games and activities.

Registration Opens Jan 8, 2024. Save the Date!
Vendor Registration includes:
1. 1 6-ft table and 2 chairs provided to sell books on Saturday. Additional options include a double
space with 2 6-ft tables and 4 chairs.
2. Your name, photo, bio, and published books included into our festival pamphlet sold at the
festival. Note: All information must be received no later than three (3) weeks prior to Book Festival.
3. Ability to become a featured author, speak and/or participate in one of our workshops.
4. Name displayed on our website under "Meet the Author" page.
5. Exhibitor fee $95.00.
