VABEXPO, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, persists mainly to advance African Americans expansive and diverse history and culture. With several signature events: The African American Book Festival, and Richmond Comedy & Music Festival, we aim to bring together readers and writers, while also highlighting local talent in the Region in Comedy and Music.

With its 5th annual event coming up, the Richmond AFRAM Book festival has quickly become the largest literary event in the southeast. A huge crowd assembled at Diversity Richmond in an exhilarating celebration of books. We believe that the writing history of Richmond is proof that Richmond is the literary cultural center of Virginia.
